Default few questions

-what does it mean when your car is in idle? is it when the car is on and sitting in one place or is it when your car is "gliding" when your foot isn't on the gas?

-i dont understand why but why does my car sometimes jerk when i have already let go of the clutch and engaged the gear? for example, i am going 35 mph in a 35 zone while in 3rd gear. when i pass 35, i let go of the gas so my speed can go back down. then when i go to press the gas again, it sometimes jerks. it's not a major jerk but i can feel it.

-wht does the srs light signify? does it mean i don't have an airbag?

-that's it for now, maybe more later. thanks for your input everyone.

idle is when the motor is on and the throttle is not pressed, usually below 1k rpms. Your car jerks because it is weak, everytime u press the gas it puts more strain on the motor which it prolly cant take. I dont kno about the srs stuff....

its just the "torque"(for lack of better word). see what happens is that the stock mounts flex. when your are pressing on the gas, the motor is torqing itself forward, but when you let off of the gas, it goes back to a resting position and everything(tranny, axels etc) all are just kinda free spinning, when you press on it again, then everything torques back forward, causing the bump that you feel. works pretty well to chirp first rolling at 20 in a stock d16. let out and immediatly floor it and either break something, or it will spin. impresses the kids, to get rid of it, either get stiffer mounts, some energy bushings, or VERY VERY VERY VERY easily press the gas. better suspension also helps alittle. later,

shouldn't the stock mounts be stiff enough to contain the stock engine?

Engine mounts aren't made to last forever. You could have a bad mount somewhere. Or they could just be getting weak. But hondaaj05 explained it all. And by the way your srs light being on. Means 1 of 3 things.

1. Someone disconnected the airgbags.

2. There is a short in the harness.

3. Someone wrecked it and didn't tell you about it.

No just take it and have the sensors checks out. And have the wiring checked out as well. Also you can remove the face to your steering wheel to find out if the airbag is in there. it's a couple of bolts on the side of your steering wheel. Most people in civics if the air bags deploy. Either buy junk yard airbags. Or don't spend the 1500$ a side to have them put back together. So just triple check everything.
