Default differance in si and dx head?

alright so i have a parts car that i know is all stock si. and i have a daily driver that i know is the body of a dx and the block seas d16a6... so i know the block is from an si. how can i tell if the head is from an si or not? or would the only head that would fit on the d16a6 block be an si head as well? im sorry for the most likely stupid question but i am young and we all needed to get told by someone before we knew the answer... i know there all posts about the differance in engines, but never about the head in particular. i just want to know if i should swap the head from my parts car into my daily driver. how can i tell what head it is?

There should be letters/numbers cast in to the head. They normally correspond with the ECU code so I would say look for "PM6" cast around the exhaust ports to see if it's an Si head. Someone else can confirm the letters but from my experience with other hondas that will tell you.

The only difference between the D15B2 and D16A6 head is the cam. Look at the head, just below where the valve cover mates to the head and roughly between cylinders three and four (closest to the distributor). If you see a PM6 it's the A6 head and if you see a PM5 it's the D15B2 head. This will be small but you also have a small search area so it shouldn't be too difficult.

i believe so, they may have used the same casting for other motors however. how does the dizzy fit to the head? Is it cut up? if the car was converted to mpfi (4 injectors) you will need to use a PM6 (Civic/CRX Si) ecu and dizzy.

doesn't have to be a PG7. any mpfi ecu will work PM6 from an Si and PM8 from an HF will work also.

i know it doesnt have to be a pg7. but i was told that will be the best set up without being chipped. and i already have the pg7 so no reason to get a different one.
