Default Monza(Pacesetter) exhaust??

has any body used the monza(pacesetter) exhaust on their si hatch? i'm curious as to how it sounds at speed and idiel and how large the tubing dia. is? i like the apexi world sport but can't afford it now and the STD exhaust isn't cutting it on the si (SOHC ZC)motor swap.

It honestly sounds like marbles in a coffee can- don't do it. Pacesetter is worse than stock. And they are ghetto ugly.

rust in a few months? try 2, first exhaust i ever got, crappiest pos i ever got, if you want something cheap have the local muffler shop make you a custom one, make sure they do mandrel bends if not save up for a catback, its worth the wait.

Yeah like everyone else said it is pretty much a POS. Some guy had one fitted to a geo storm when I was at the track a few weeks ago, and the thing sounded horrible. Like bees in a can.

if you do any-thing dont buy that POS! You can pick up a Universal muffler and have a local muffler shop run some piping for you.I have a PRO#1 unv. muffler and 2.5" custom piping on my hatch, sounds good, just a good deep tone! oh yeah make sure the shop can manderl bend the pipe too, like said before.

My 15 dollar universal dynomax turbo muffler with 2" mendrel pipe no cat or resonator sounds so low and deep all the way to 5500 RPM. I want to quiet it down a bit when i get time you know what i mean.

If ya got access to a welder by mendrel bent U-bends pre bent pipiung and weld er up. Sounds better then most 500 dollar systems but havent got a dyno so i dont think it flows as well.

I don't have any experience with pacesetter exhaust. But I do remember when Sport Compact Car Mag. did a header test, and Pacesetters header was the only one that the vehicle lost horsepower from when the dyno tested it!

Ha Ha. Pacesetter is CRIZAP. GARBAGE. Go cheap and get a flowmaster, get it bent by muffler shop.

Why do you want a Monza exhaust, when you can buy a used GReddy Exhaust from me for cheap and it will sound good it is the SP model for 88-91 Civic hatch. Let me know if you are interested, if so e-mail me.

Apexi WS if you want CHEAP and GOOD performance for the dollar. Can be had for $350 or under, depending on who you know. I LOVE mine, high quality, 60mm piping (not 50mm like the Greddy). Check out the last SCC, has the B16A1 with an apexi exhaust in a EG. (I don't normally believe **** in mags, but I'm happy with mine). OR go custom for less money. HTH, Overkll

Monza is no good-like everyone else said. I have also seen some of them in person as well...very poor quality.

Don't touch that peice off crapy ****!!! it's the worst peice of crap availlable.
get to a muffler shop to mendrel bend one for you in normal steel, they usualy don't do any stainless, unless you can get to a welding shop and having them bend some 2 inch stainless piping. this is what I did, I used only a glass pack on the rear section for racing for riding around I got a more restrictive muffler, it's a stainless steel unit, polished, like a round peice i think the number of the peice is m121, low, and deep sound,
anything will be great than pace setter, even a stock si exaust!!!
see ya !!
