11.79 @122 need avise
Well i went to the track for my second time last night and was running pretty much 11.80's with a best of 11.79. The humidity was at 100 and the temp was around 90 degrees so that wasnt helping anything. My 60' times were arount 1.76 all night and mph was around 122-125. (except one run of 11.8 at 116 and then a charge pipe blew off but anyway). My questions are these, I have a stock gsr open diff transmission and is a 1.76~ 60' the best i am gonna get out of that? And, i have stock gsr cams on a 2.0ls/vtec with sc6152E, inlinepro turbo manifold, and a JG intake manifold at 18psi.... Do you think that upgrading to say a type r cam or blox type a would be worth getting to help me gain some added power up top and maybe take advantive more of the intake manifold and 3" open downpipe? Any suggestions would be welcome really. here is the break down of the best run of last night on 24.5x8x13" slicks at 7psi launching at 7500...
60'... 1.765
330'.. 5.099
1/8... 7.717
MPH.. 97.08
1000.. 9.932
1/4... 11.791
MPH... 122.57
Also, I am in no way complaining about my times i just feel like the car sould be doing better. thanks

the weather wasnt helping any with the 100% humidity if it was at that.... the best thing for you would be a diff, but with more paractice you will get better... I take it you where also running slicks? if so what was the pressure in them?
yeah i guess that stuff is kinda important
. Now this sounds silly but i am not sure or the exact weight or power of the car but i can tell you this. It is a 94 civic coupe gutted in the rear and no heating or cooling stuff at all. A 5 point cromoly roll bar so whatever your best guess at weight is that is what mine is. as far as power is was only street tuned at 18psi, but was tuned around march so that could be affecting it aswell. i would say when originaly tuned around 380-400 whp just going by similar set ups i have seen. also it was tuned by a pretty good tuner around my way so i trust that is WAS making the power it should or atleast close to. and yes i was on MT slicks, 24.5x8x13 on lenso's at 7psi. also if it matters i am shifting at 9k

is your engine making power there? maybe shift a little earlier. i just went back and read that you have gsr cams, you should be ok there. i am shifting at 9400 with gsr cams.

I have a similar setup as you. Your 60' are good , but you should be trapping higher than 122. I have the same size slicks as you and I think a combo of open downpipe and maybe 15psi in the slicks will help you out alot.

i was making 375hp on a .9 bar wastegate spring. i would think you should be laying down more power then what you say. your 60' are good won't get much better without going crazy race setup. i do agree you should be trapping higher. good luck
thanks for the responses. i guess i will be trying to get me some dyno time here soon to make sure i am makin some power and i suppose ill stick with the gsr cams for now to save myself the $400
