Today I felt a huge pop or bang when I was driving. So I get to work and listen to my engine when it's off and it sounds like it's "Losing air". I don't know how else to explain the sound but that's what it sounds like, coming from the front left. I checked the tire and it looks fine, could not find any punctures at all. Opened the hood and it was even louder. Any suggestions?

update... I just went out there and it sounds fine now, runs fine..hmmm

was it a hissing type noise or a loud pop

 

usually AC compressors hiss very VERY quietly once the engine is shut off, but I wouldn't expect to notice it unless you tried... Use the warranty man.

 

Sometimes the pressure equalizing in the a/c sounds like that but it's best heard inside.
But if there are no other symptoms I wouldn't worry too much about it

Hows the a/c working? Maybe the pressure relief valve popped?
