Paper ID tag on Tranny ?
I know most tranny's dont have there small paper ID sticker for long before they fall off. But mine still has it there. My question is can you ID the type of tranny if you know the tag #'s. Thanks Bitches

But i want them to drop everything and run to my aid ,
anyway , i hear ya , just chiming in looking for a answer.
I searched with no luck on this one , which sucks cause i usually have pretty good luck on the HT searches.

open the tranny up (see steps 1-6 under How to remove the transmission housing in the first post here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=596873 )
now count the teeth on this diff ring gear. then count the teeth on the small pinion gear that meshes with it. divide big number by small number. If it's 4.25, you've got an Si (or built-to-si-specs) CRX tranny.
If it's 3.88 (DX), you got taken.
this is what i did to make sure my transmission i bought off of ebay was an SI transmission.
