Upgrading -manifold and turbo opinions
I have a drag manifold on my h23 and want to upgrade. I saw the post on the ramhorn style manifolds making a good bit more power, but want to keep my a/c. Whats the best manifold I can go with and still keep my a/c?
I also have a T03/04 turbo and want to get something a little bigger. I was told the precision sc61 was a good choice and I could keep my a/c with it, but then I was told it took a while to spool up. Just looking for some opinions before I make the investment.

No help for ya on the manifold, but your motor being 2.3l should spool the sc61 pretty quick. Our B16 car spooled it at about 5200.
Your car has enough torque to get you out of the hole and into power band pretty quick. IMO you dont need a really quick spooling turbo. Only amounts to wheel spin with quick spool.

but having the 2.3 without vtec and having the redline restrictions of around 6500, is that really worth it when the turbo starts spooling at 5200? If my t03/t04 spools at 3200 and the sc61 around 5200, wouldnt the t03/04 give me a better power band? What is so much better about the sc61?
It will spool quicker on a 2.3 liter motor. On a B16 it spools in the 500-5200 rpm range.
I can't really give you an educated guess on when it would spin on a 2.3 though but I would think low 4000's because of displacement. I am sure someone else has one on their car and they can tell you more than I can.

just curious, if you have a h23, i'm gonna guess maybe you have a 4th gen prelude. are you still using a front mount? don't you need a manifold that works around that?
as long as the sc61 can spool on my 2.3 around 4500 im happy with that. I do have a 4th gen with a front mount, but Im sure there is someone who makes a ramhorn manifold for my car that will allow me to run front mount and a/c with a little modification(just havent found them yet)
the drag manifolds that I have seen being used are on cars producing lower than 350 hp. If I go with the sc61 and still use the drag mani, what are my limitations? Does anyone know what the true limitations of the drag mani are?
