Default Adjust the Clutch Play and Pedal?

I have an SiR B16A in my 1990 DX hatch. I adjusted the nut on the cable to remove all of the play from my pedal...it feels nice now, however the "give" point is all the way at the top of the pedal...and the pedal sits very high. Is there any way to "bring the pedal down"? I have been told about "a nut" that I can adjust. Any more details?

My friend's 2k Si has an ACT clutch and his pedal sits on the floor. He can just TAP it to engage/disengage it. I know his car is different with the HYDRO clutch and all, but what can you suggest? Is my pedal stuck being "oh-so high"?

Follow the cable down to the tranny. It'll eventually lead to the plastic nut/**** towards the passenger side, below your battery.

yes, like I stated...I adjusted that...the play has been removed...now I need to find a way to adjust the PEDAL ITSELF to physically lower it...

get yourself a manual. it'll tell you what you need to know. there is a nut under the dash that you can adjust to fix the height.

There should be a little play in the cable- the looser it is the lower your pedal will be at engagement

there is a bold with a nut locking it down at the top front of the clutch pedal that adjusts how far up the clutch pedal will go before it is at the "top" but if you clutch engages really high in the car you mad end up making things worse. I did this to my friends crx and his came out ok but his clutch releases really close to the floor.

So basically what you are saying is loosen the cable back up a bit...then adjust the bolt with the nut locking it down so that it has a low engagement and the clutch is very shallow...?

That sounds like it is what I want.

i hope this is true, because your giving me hope, ......i have always been annoyed by my high pedal on my 90si crx, and if i can make it any lower at all, it would be awesome, and would be way more comfortable and relaxed in stop and go traffic.

i need to look into this, cause if i can change the height, i would do it

you'll wear out your pressure plate and throwout bearing with no clearance between the two, you need some play in there
