195/45/15
It's not too thin, but the diameter is too small for most of our cars.
The proper tire size depends on the kind of car you have (year, model, version), not just on the wheel size. What kind of car is this going on?

Definitely NOT recommended. I don't think there's a single tire that size that is approved by its manufacturer for use on wheels that wide.

There's a reason tire manufacturers approve rim width ranges for their tire sizes: SAFETY. If the rim is too wide, it can stretch the tire and make it susceptible to being knocked off the bead if you hit a pothole.
You're giving BAD, IGNORANT ADVICE that can damage people's cars (and themselves). If you want to mount tires on wheels that are too wide, and jeopardize your own safety, be my guest. Heck, you can drive your car into a wall, for all I care. But don't tell other people to do things that can get them hurt without them realizing it.

"Live a little", indeed. There are lots of ways to have fun with cars without making them unsafe. This is not one of them.
