Cleaning my engine
I just bought some "Simple Green" so that I can try to clean up my engine a lil bit.. I was just gonna use a toothbrush with it but I also have a little wire brush. Will the wire brush scratch things up? I apologize if this is a stupid subject but was on here and thought I would ask.
I have noticed that if you use any kind of engine degreaser...if sprayed on anything polished it "stains" it...makes it look really bad...so I suggest covering any polished pieces you have or they might get ruined.

Rinse the engine down with water, soak everything with simple green, let sit for a little bit, start cleaning, rinse off with water, make sure you got everything, dry what you can with a towel or whatever you use, start engine and take it for a spin around the block, let sit untill engine is dry and cool, spray the block and tranny with wd-40 to avoid corrosion you can also use armoral.
don't forget to cover up your distributor and intake so you don't ingest anything!
