Default update on popping noise

i posted about a week or so ago about some popping noise i heard coming from the rear of the car. at first i thought it was something to do with the brakes because thats the only time i heard it was when i was on and off of them. long story short i took it back to the dealer and just from driving around the lot, the tech said a possible body panel loose. they had it all day to find out that the shocks were shot. they had to call the engineers out in california to see if they had this problem before. they had never heard of that problem. took the shocks off, drove it, no problem. put them back on, move the car just a little, same noise. go figure! if theres one new car out there that has problems, i was the one to find it! got them on order for the middle of next week to be replaced under warranty

just a heads up if anyone else is hearing strange noise in the rear of the car

ooops, its a 2dr lx BTW

I'm starting to get this noise from rear and only when I step on the brakes and then release is when I hear it. If it's blown shocks it would be constant when going over bumps no?

My car is under 1000 miles.

First batch is always a little funky. Like, you know, the rear window/quarter windows in coupes coming loose? Yeah, that's kinda silly but really dangerous. I think there is supposed to be a recall near the end of this month on that.

i had a car come in for this problem not too long ago,,its actually caused by space between the tophat of the strut and shock tower.. and speaking of recalls dont forget the 5 places on the motor that oil leaks from.. oh and the power steering leak from the inlet pipe what is happening to honda..
