Dear Grant Products: I hate you with all of my soul.
So the CRX I bought came with this dinky little Grant Challenger wheel on it. It was in horrible shape, rubber tearing off it, plus it's way too small for my tastes in a car with no power steering. I have huge muscley arms and all, but not that muscley.
I wasn't quite sure what was what when I took it off, so I wound up undoing the 19mm center bolt and them unscrewing the three screws that attach the wheel to grant's hub. Boy was that stupid of me. That hub is STUCK on there. I've sprayed it down with silicon and hammered at it and pulled at it with any number of things and pryed at it with a screwdriver and I've gotten it to maybe move 1/20th of an inch so far. Of course, the screws that connect the wheel to the hub are also totally stripped, so it's not like I can put the wheel back on and try to pull from that. I doubt it'd do a lot of good anyway. ARGHHHH. I needed to vent.
I'll be so glad when I finally get this thing off and I'm able to put the '91 Integra steering wheel I pulled from the junkyard on this.

yea grants hubs blow.
order new bolts from honda, drill out the heads, yank off the wheel, then carefully use vicegrips to spin the headless bolts loose.

You are the first person I've ever heard having a problem with a 13" wheel in a car with no PS. I enjoy mine more than when I had my accord with no PS... granted the car weighed close to 800lbs more.

Eh, I like a bigger steering wheel. I also like being able to easily see my gauge cluster. Also the existing wheel on there just looked completely like ***, so off it goes!

A little follow up story of success. I got a grant wheel pulling tool, took the hub off in 20 minutes, and slipped my junkyard integra wheel on. A good fit, but a little close to the column controls. If I want to turn my brights on and so forth they tend to rub against the wheel. Oh well, I'll grab a stock CRX wheel one of these days.
Oh yeah, the Integra wheel I grabbed is actually a cruise control wheel, so you wouldn't expect the horn to work because it uses that little three contact plug for cruise control functions and the horn, right?
Weeeell! I got to thinking, and I wound up pulling the circular horn contact plate off the grant hub I had, taking the connector on the wire and prying both sides open a little bit and then "tenderly" smashing it flat with a hammer. I slipped the newly flattened connector into the horn contact on the Integra wheel's plug, stuffed all the wires and plug into the wheel and then slipped the contact disc onto the column followed by the wheel. Tada, working horn! I could have been a real geeenius and hooked the horn up to one of the cruise control buttons, but eh.

That thing was -stuck- on there. You have no idea. I attacked it with silicon, screwdrivers, a hammer, putting the wheel back on and tugging as hard as I could, both feet up on the dash, and I'm a big 250lb guy. It was not coming off without a puller. There is no shame in admitting defeat to that.
had same fawken problem. thing was on there like hell. went to autozone. rented steering wheel puller. got home. the long bolts that came w/ the kit were all way too big. had to go to lowes and buy 1/4" - 28 bolts 2.5" long stainless steel was longest bolts they had in that size $7.22 got back home, used it all. got my refund on the bolts and the kit from autozone. pos grant wheel came right off like butter with the remover.
conclusion: go rent the kit. don't bash w/ hammer, or slam it into your face, or smash the threads by keeping the 19mm bolt on and slam the wheel loose into it.
