Default 91 si with d16z6?

i am getting ready to do a d16z6 full motor(head and block)swap into my friends 91 si. i was wondering what drivers side mount i would use? i was also wondering besides vtec wiring is there any other wiring needed to do this swap(going from obd0 to obd1)? also will the 91 si ecu run the z6 motor? if anyone has a complete write up on this could you reply with a thread?

Are you using the d16a6 tranny?

The stock Z6 front motor mount bracket (t-belt side) will fit, but it won't line up perfectly.. You can instead use the stock (d16a6) motor mount, it will line up a lot better but you'll have to trim around the timing belt cover (just a little bit, really easy).

Also, the stock PM6 (Si) ECU will run the Z6 engine pretty smoothly. If you wire up VTEC then you might want to consider a tiny bit more fuel in those upper RPMS, (there is more than one way to do this, do your homework) but it's not a very big deal.

You should DEFINITELY use the stock d16a6 engine harness, and modify it to fit the Z6 engine. Most things will not need to be changed, but you will have to splice in a few plugs here and there. Next, make sure you use the stock (d16a6) fuel injectors if you plan to keep the Si (pm6) ECU.

Lastly, if you are sticking with the stock OBD-0 (si) ECU, then you MUST use the OBD-0 distributor (from the d16a6). Problem is that the bolt holes wont line up between the A6 dizzy and the Z6 head. It will still work though. Do a search for mini-me swaps on google or here to see how to modify it to work a little better.

EDIT: You should probably post this in the 4g forum BTW...
