Default Pulley Size - D15 Alternator Pulley Inner Diameter NEEDED

Im kinda in a bind with the parts I have. Ive got a d16a6 motor and my alternator just crapped out on me, so I found a d15B alt and swapped it in

The d15b alt had a fucked pulley that was smashed, I cleaned it up but it still like to squeel and it ate a junkyard belt already.

id like to bore the d16a6 pulley so it can slide over the shaft on the d15b.

I wanna do this without taking the alt off just to save time, and I'll swap them when it eats the belt lol

Kind of a weird thing to ask for, but i know there is an aftermarket for these, hoping someone could come up with a number for me

Thanks guys

Compairing a D15B2 to the D16a6 I have;
The are both the same..

Unless you have two different designs/manufactors or
something strange,It should work..

I have bolted a B series pulley on a D series alternator before
so I doubt there would be a difference..

100% there different

The d15b pulley needs a 31.5" belt and my d15a5 alt only needed a 30" belt

The diameter of the shaft is defientely bigger. I was going to swap them when I had them both off, but the d15 shaft was to large so I had to use it. I just didnt think to measure it

I see what you are saying..
The one that came on my car may have been aftermarket
as it was the same as two others {D16a6} I had..

I found one more alternator I got from NAPA {part #213-8333} for my car
when it was in stock form and the pulley is different..

This one is Mitsubishi and the others are Nippon-Denso..
I can put the D15 pulley on the D16 alternator
but I can't put the D16 pulley on the D15 alternator..
Here is why:

The inside diameter on both pullies is 15mm but the diameter on the
outside spacer is different as well as the size of the nut and threaded portion..

It looks like to use the D16 pulley on the D15 alternator,7mm of material
would have to be removed from the area indicated on the pulley on the right..

Yours may be totally different from what I have but I hope somehow that helps..

On my pullies its the inside diameter that is different

The a6 pulley is physically smaller and the shaft uses a smaller spline

Hoping someone could give me a number to bore it out to
