Default Integra Door moldings? how to remove?

How do these come off? do you just pull them off gently? Do you have to refinish the door? I am quite curious. I like the look of the moldless tegs better. Let me know.

Thanks,
Matt

I believe they have little platic clips that hold them on. It would be much easier to just color match them to your car then to take them off, fill the holes, and get the entire side of your car repainted.

Gotta do it from the inside out... Well the right way. It's a pain.

Not a pain at all

Yes you have to do it from the inside. Just simply take the door panel off. Its a total of 6/7 screws/clips. Not a problem at all then just squeeze the clips from the inside and they pop right out. Also the same with the 1/4 panel.

Having the shaved side molding look isn't as easy as 1-2-3. After you easily remove the side moldings there will be holes where the clips were, you will need to shave it by either welding or whatever and then that area will need to be repainted. Things to consider, and telling you that removing the side skirts themselves will not be hard at all but achieving the look you want will require some professional work.

when i worked at a bodyshop my boss would remove the side moldings using two thin metal scraper type things.. he would hit the clip by sliding the scrapers under the molding and hit the bottom and top of the clips..it takes a little practice but he would do it without scratching the car or breaking any clips (i guess that just experience though)..saves a lot of time beause you dont have to remove any interior
