Hello fellows,

I'm stumped. I have a GS-R in my 93 HB and I have been hearing this squealing sound coming from behind my intake manifold somewhere. I can get it to make noise when accelerating and at constant acceleration; it doesn't not squeal @ idle. I have directed the sound to behind the intake manifold because I can manual adjust. the throttle listening to the noise from inside the engine bay. What in the world could this be? The motor was working great for a long time now and lately it has been stubborn and sometimes it decides not start. It seems to have a mind of its own. Could it possibly be the IAV valve?

this same thing happened to my buddies GSR..didnt really do nothing bout it cause it didnt affect the motor..

 

When I got my GSR back after being stolen, it would squeal like that during deceleration (when the revs fall back down), but I never figured out what it was. It went away on it's own.

 

Sounds like I'm not the only one. Any ideas on what this might be?
