Default help! integra problems

i dont know what the problem is...but when i start my car after letting it sit for a while, it revs up to 2500-3k and after 2 mins of warming up, it goes back to normal temperature...

anyone know wsup with this?

this is annoying and it is the reason i took off my exhaust...

only think i did so far is checked my vacum lines, and cleaned my idle control valve

------------

next would be my TB making a lot of noise. it seems to be humming like crazy when my car is fired up...its super loud!! i had a aem intake...then i switched to a OEM intake and still the same ****...

Is your car cold when you start it? Sounds normal to me. Mine revs to about 2k for a minute or so, then it eventually settles once it's warm.

yeah....if your car is off for a while and the engine completely cooled off. once you turn your car back on again the idle will be high at 2500-3k rpm and once your car's temp is warmed fully the idle will drop back to normal. especailly in the winter time the car will have a high idle at first for as long as it needs to until the engine is completely warmed. it is also very recommended that if your car has been off for a while and your turn it on, to let it sit and idle and let it warm up then drive off. not good to start the car right up and just through it into drive and drive off..wheather its a auto or 5sp.

i beleive is normal cold start will be 1700-2000rpm...i think my 3k idle is a tad bit tooo high

i kno this is not directed to me, but ive had a 1998 Integra GSR, and mine started out at nearly 2800rpm from cool. and it never gave me any other known problems. ive even seen some USDM cars idle at nearly 38k and never gave any problems, ive have even brought the high idle with my integra to a professional and also told me that there is nothing wrong. also told me that some cars even the same brand idle higher than other and told it can also be adjusted so from cool start the idle wont be as high.
