I just got done putting a jdm tranny (non lsd) in. I went to take it for a spin and i felt a little grind going into 5th gear. A few miles later when i went to go into fifth, the gear was gone and it just reved out like it was in neutral. All the other gears seem to work fine. Why is this happening?

 

Hopefully your tranny isnt messing up like mine did. Because after 5th went 3rd followed.

They would just grind. The shifter would go in place but when I let the clutch out it would just grind.

 

see with mine it will go into the gear fine and just rev out when i give it gas. It doesn't grind. Its like the gear isn't even there
