Default Best D-series engine... for SC'ing?

Hey everyone, im looking to replace my SUPER SLOW 2001 Civic LX, by buying another 90-91 CRX Si. I might replace or rebuild the a6 depending on people's opinions.

I know a lot of you are B-Series addicts, i dont need your imput. Ive already gone b18a, and i just want a cheap budget engine with a bit of kick.

Im gunna try to supercharge it as soon as i get my civil engineering diploma ( in a year) but for now i need a nice reliable engine for commuting ( over 160km's a day).

ive already made up my mind on SC'ing it, looked at about 200 pages of SC'd stuff and read everythread on turbo D's from here and turbod16.com, i just want the on-tap power of a SC, and im fine that its limited to <170whp ( without major work), i can live with that.

So here it is!

*Supposed to say JDM d15b, not JDM d5b*

If its your first try, do the A6. You can stay obd0 and only have to deal with one fuel & timing map. You also don't have to deal with trying to find the best rpm for vtec, etc. If you're very good with cars & have some time (which I doubt at least the 2nd...school=time), I'd say convert to obd1 & go with a d16z6.

I almost want to SC a d-series for the ease of which it can be done.
