if you torqued the head bolts on the head then you will need a new one

not correct
You can re-use the head gasket. I've done it multiple times and no problem.

If you want to be safe, spray the head gasket with the copper spray for headgaskets to help it seal better

<---- currently running a b18b with a oem 1-layer reused head gasket without problems

there is nothing wrong with using the gasket over, the one thing i suggest when using copper spray is to take a Q-tip with alcohol and clean the leading edges of the oil passages cut in the headgasket clean of all copper spray.
