Default Tokico Blues or Illuminas with Sprint 1.5" Drop

My stock shocks are all soft now and I keep on rubbing over bumps on the road (especially during freeway). I have 195/55/15 size tries and am wondering if I am better off with the Blues or the Illuminas. I heard that the blues are like the OEM ones but my friend said I would be fine. So I want something to keep me from rubbing at all. Do you think I will be fine with the Blues?

I just got 55 series tires recently so that is a no go. Plus, 55 is closer to stock. I am mostly fine with my stock shocks, it's just when I go over bumps too fast or too big of bumps that I rub.

If the blues are good then I would rather get those. But I don't want to waste my time/money on installing and getting an alignment for shocks that will still rub.

If that is the case, I think I might go with a set of KYB AGX. It is about $20 bucks more than the HPs but are adjustable.

I have blues on my 99 SI with 205/50/15 falkens and a 2 inch drop and I have not had any rubbing problems. My only problem was the splash guards on the front fenders. They had to go. The blues do feel close to stock. If you have alittle extra cash I would try a inexpensive coilover.

Well, it's a daily driver so I like my sprint springs. They are a bit stiffer than stock but still ride pretty damn comfortable (especially with a 55 series, I had 205/50 before and it was pretty comfy too). I can have the Blues for 244 and the AGXs for around 285. I think I'll just go with the AGX to save myself on any headaches of going lower or the shocks blowing out. Plus I can add a bit more pep to my daily commute.

So, what do you guys think? Do the you think the AGX will be a good choice for $308? Also, I have another question, did tokico ever make green springs for the civic and del sol? If so, how are they compared to my sprints and how much of a drop are they?

Tokico Blues blow, always have, always will. They're meant to be OEM replacement shocks and can't cope with the higher spring rates from lowering springs.

I'd definitely go with KYB AGX or the Illuminas.
