ITR ITR FTW!

ITR proposal made it into the latest SCCA Fastrack, and was CRB approved!
For those not in the loop, the Improved Touring R class was made to hold some restrictor-plate BMW's in ITS, and some other cars not competitively classable in ITS. This includes the Integra Type R. Since the head is "hand ported", and porting heads is illegal, there's some grumblings about the Type R not making it into ITR class. But, it's there for now, and it's light.
For those of you non-racers, expect a market value for Integra Type R's to go up about 0.5% as demand rises.

Unfinished list of current cars. Some of them are already in ITS, and some are good former Grand Am chassis that can be purchased and converted relatively easily to IT spec. We think the class will take off pretty quick.
I left off spec weights because they are still in-process, but the lightest car in the class IIRC is the Type R. I think the BMW 330 and the s2000 are the heaviest.

Too bad we'll never see Wai's Spoon R in this series. For a few reasons:
-It's a 1996 (1997 ITR's weren't classed in this one, hmm...)
-It's JDM (JDM not classed in SCCA/NASA)
-Illegal motor
-Probably underweight

My goodness - you do have some extra weight in there...I'm down to 2395 without me & the extra MOMO seat (3 gallons of gas left)

the weight is perfect for me.. my car weighs 2540ish with driver and with a half tank of gas and no ballast right now.. and I have a track to race at 15 minutes from my house..
I still plan to run honda challenge predominantly though.. but can't wait to see if this gets finalized by the board!

I think I've got ~40-50lbs on you thanks to some double-stuff oreos in my past. Outside of that, I still have power windows & mirrors - I'm sure that could shave another 20-30lbs to get us in the same ballpark. Hmmmmm, maybe my stock wing is heavier than your 747 wing?

hehe.. yeah.. i think that would put my car at about 2370ish without me (I weigh about 170 on any given day).. and I'm sure my wing is heavier since its Mugen bling these days..

Dang dude - I've got 60lbs on you then...I'm 230 = fat & happy
50lbs = ~1 second/lap some placed
I better work on my driving...it's easier than losing weight.
