Just got a linclon Mig a few questions

Default Just got a linclon Mig a few questions

Bought this welder http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...&rd=1

. Anyways whats a good size wire to weld mild steel. I want nice small clean welds. I used a .34 wire and it makes the welds very think some welder i used before. What gas should i use.

0.023" is all I use for mild steel. Gets more heat into the part for the same amount of filler. I use 75/25 gas. The pure Argon I use for the TIG makes the MIG welds too hot.

that is exactly what I use with my Lincoln 135.

the .023 wire always seems to bind up in my machine. I use .030 usually.
