Jdm DC Srs Steering Wheel Questions
I would like to get some insight from those who have driven with the jdm srs steering wheel. I have searched, but wasn't able to find the information that I am really looking for... from the information that I have found, I have been led to believe that this steering wheel is 350mm, now does anybody know the diameter of the stock usdm steering wheel and is the difference really that noticable? Could you guys also describe the the pros and cons about the steering that would be beneficial knowledge? The reason I ask all this is because my family also owns a 05 ep3 and I have seriously fallen in love with the steering wheel of that car. The size is perfect and it just makes the driving experience phenomenol and lots of fun. Unfortunately, this steering wheel does not fit in my dc2 so I am trying to look for something close to that. I still want my air bag and want to keep everything oem so I am trying to see if this would be a suitable replacement. Thank you
I have had the JDM SRS wheel now for some months. I love it. It actually feels a lot more smaller then the OEM one. The quality is great given its from honda. The only downfall with it is the turning radius is somewhat diffrent with the turn signals. Say you want to make a slight right and you turn your turn signal on, after making the turn, the turn signal won't automatically go out. It only goes out on sharper turns. I believe you can correct the problem if you really want to by going with a diffrent rack and so forth, but you really get used to just flipping it back. I'm with you though, safety is always a concern with me so I wanted to keep the airbag. It's a great buy and makes driving more comfortable.
I've had mine for about a 1yr 1/2 and love it. Even though the size isn't a huge difference it feels like a good bit. For one thing the wheel actually matches the interior where the stock USDM one doesn't. Its just a nicer wheel. Mine wasn't perfect so by now its worn quite a bit but I still like it.
hmm, i'm curious to know if you guys have ever driven on the ep3 civic si steering wheel? If so, how does it compare in terms of size and feel? Thanks again.

Fit like a glove!
During install, all you have to modify is the white collar ring from cable reel by removing 2 key tab so you can install the steering wheel properly onto cable reel. I have NO problems with turn signal return at all!

mark - who agrees with cory about the looks. but not about the feel.
i would be willing to bet it IS a 350mm and the US one is somewhere around 400. the size felt so much different. very happy with my jdm srs wheel.

I couldve sworn the USDM is 360 and the JDM is 350. The size isnt that much different. Its the feel that makes it feel smaller....
