My pics from Honda Collection Hall
Just got back from my trip to Tokyo and Taipei and while in Tokyo, I finally made the trek to Twin Ring Motegi and the Honda Collection Hall. I left at 6am from Shinjuku and had to train hop with the bullet train finally landing me in Utsunomiya, where I then got on a bus to a stop near Twin Ring and took a taxi into Honda heaven and arrived at around 10:30:

Definitely a very memorable experience! The visit made me even prouder to be a Honda fan. The history contained within the building was incredible! It was a pain to get there, but well worth the long trip. I ended up taking a taxi out of Honda Collection Hall to the train station to save time although it cost about $100.

Bridgestones?</TD></TR></TABLE>
It was a BAR-Honda 005 on display, which was still running on Bridgestones at the time. It wasn't until the 006 chassis that they swapped to Michelin.

What's up with the Camaro convertible behind Buddy Rice's car?
Also, are the Target Reynards and the Motorola Lola still on display there? I take it the 7-Eleven Dallara and the Tecate Lola display explains the difference between an IndyCar and a Champ Car?
Nice pics!

Just scanned through the pix with the slideshow feature.
Thanks so much for sharing them with us
Just wondering though, was there no DC2-Rs done up on display?

where is that in relation to Mugen and Spoon? </TD></TR></TABLE>
Motegi is really FAR! It's quite a trek to get there. I actually don't know where Mugen and Spoon are located, otherwise, given more time, I would have stopped by there as well, but my main goal was to visit HCH. It's probably safe to say that Twin Ring Motegi is way out there compared to where Mugen and Spoon HQ is located.

No DC2-R's on display. But the cars are displayed on a rotating basis, so I wouldn't be surprised if it pops up later. It lists multiple DC2-R's in their Collection Hall inventory, but none were out there the day I visited.

The Target Reynards and Motorola Lola weren't on display when I was there. Actually, the 7-11 Dallara and Tecate Lola were just placed together. They didn't give an explanation of the differences between Indy and Champcar.
The "theme" at Honda Collection Hall currently is "Indy" so the main floor space was dedicated to Indy history, that's why they had a 1967 Camaro pace car from Indy on display. Honestly, it kind of stood out, since it was Honda Collection Hall, but given all the awesome Honda machinery I was surrounded by, I hardly noticed it, haha.

Is this the only collection actually owned by honda in the world?
The honda bar team has one in the UK, if im not mistaken.

I think that spoon and mugen are pretty close to each other.
-with that said, where is this place located? Spoon and mugen I believe are in Tokyo, or very close to it.

Yeah, you guys would really dig all the Sato shwag in the gift shop!!

Out back they have a small garage building where you can look in through a big window to see the mechanics working on the cars that are out of the display rotation.
