ok...today i was at a junk yard and we seen a 1990 honda civic had a dual port intake and it was a single cam ZC and on the back left of the head there was a manual fuel pump......WTF

 

it was a carbed SOHC ZC

 

no it was a 16 valve head with the dual port intake.....y was the fuel pump there

 

What he means is the engine was originally carbed in japan and i guess the person who owned that car replaced the engine with that one and just reused his old intake manifold ..

and they come with 16valve head


The mechanical fuel pump was actualy still there hooked up or was it blocked off?

 

it was on the head juss the lines were cut

 

and can i get a carberated intake for this motor?????

 

they originally came with dual carbs and a really weird vacuum advance distributor that you could never find a replacement cap for in a million years - we have swapped a few of them into cars using the intake manifold from the original engine - we make a block-off plate to cover the fuel pump hole - i can check at the shop to see if we still have any of the dual carb manifolds, but i believe we may have junked them all

It should still be on there if the pump is still there because on DPFI or MPFI that pump will not be producing enough pressure. It's more then likely still carbed.

I would just MPFI it tho. Mine came carbed and it's blocked off.

no pimp the intake is not on there its the dual port intake and throttle body and ****.......i juss could not understand y there is a pump

and yes, jilicrx is correct. carbed soch zc with the owners stock intake shtuff on it.

I would care about it if I felt that was what it meant, but I do not think it does.
