They're supposed to be fixing those issues with the powerband.. should make the 1/4 signficantly faster.

Car and Driver (I think) had issues with the S Type R. They would get a shitty launch off the line because it didn't have an LSD, and I don't think they could override the traction control. I think I remember that the traction control also turned on during the 1-2 shift.. /and/ the engine was 400 revs or so short of where it made 400hp when the car shifted.

If Ford fixes these problems it would be way faster. It's too refined right now.. it needs to be more M5-ish. And I think it looks fugly. The grill looks SWEET on the XJR and XKR, I think it looks lame on the S Type. Well, the S Type in general looks lame I think.

If you can afford it I'd save the extra 10 or 15 grand and get an ///M.
