Default Question about rubber lining around rear wheels

hey, i just recently got an s2000 and i noticed that on one side the rubber lining was starting to fall off. i have heard about it trapping moisture and causing rust. should i need to remove those to prevent any problems or glue it back on or something? thanks

Sand that up. Go to Pep Boys and pick up a can of undercarriage coating, or even truck bed liner. Mask everything off and spray away.

If you're talking about the rubber trim, glue it back. =P

the cause of the rust is that rubber lining itself .. it traps all the dirt in there and that will cause rust in the future ... dont listen to FR-MOB: Projekt cuz he makes everything complicated lol ... all you have to do is remove that lining and youll be rust free

thats the very first thing i do with my Hondas ... i would go voluntarily to every honda dealership and pull each one if i dont get into trouble ROFL

I think im going to do this. OT is it normal for the front fender liners to rub after the car has supsension? I closed the wheel gap so the car isnt that low. I heard that you can cut a piece off of the fender liner and it wont rub anymore.

if you dont have a proper offset and the car is lowered, that would mos' def rub .. it rubbed on my car too, but mine was tucked and only when i make a sharp turn..

if it rubbing againts the plastic, let it rub .. dont worry about it .. the tires are doing the cutting for you ...
