Default Air Conditioning Question

Given that it is getting pretty hot out there, I figured that I'd ask a question that others may be able to benefit from. I have a 45 minute commute in the R, and on a normal day, the air conditioning works fine all the way in. However, on a really hot day, it cuts out maybe 10-20 minutes into the commute, the hotter the day, the worse it is. Sometimes, mid commute, it will start working again. I checked to make sure that the air conditioning is fully charged. What do you guys think the issue may be?

Sounds like the fan. If the fan isn't working properly, it can turn off the compressor. The "air" will still blow, but will not be cold. Or it could be a sticking expansion valve.
