car wont start
hey i have a rex with a b16, you know, typical swap, but anyhow, it runs great, no probs, but now it wont start, the fuel pump doesnt cut on and doesnt turn over or anything. My buddy came over, put his hand on a relay, and the bitch popped right off. I have a parts car, but all the relays i see under the dash i took out, and it cranked up. I cant find any other relay. can any one tell me exactly where the main relay is. sometimes it wants to crank, other times, it does a whole bunch of nothing, please help a fellow EFfer out
It's up under the dash on the driver's side. It's up above the hood release latch. It's a 3" by 1.5" black and brown plastic box. There's one white plug that goes into it, and it's held to the chassis by one 12mm or 10mm bolt. Take the bolt off instead of popping out the relay itself. Some say it's even easier if you pop out the coin tray, but I never found that to be the case.
