A/C tensioner bolt keep comming off???
Today i was driving and all of the sudden my a/c belt tensioner pulley just falls off. this is the 2nd time that i have had to get parts because this has happened before. I torque the bolt to the factory specs but this is the second time this has happened. has this happened to anyone else?
is there something wrong with the tensioner assembly, the screw part? it never really did this before at all. what exactly will LOCTITE do?
well, i'd try just over tightening the bolt a bit..not alot..but if it keeps falling out..then it doesnt seem to be right for your car..or potentially this could be a pointer to another problem....

its weird because iv taken the a/c pulley bolt off before to do a timing belt inspection, that was a while ago. nothing happened to it, it seemed to say on tight as can be. then after i did my timing belt change is when this happened the first time(well, about a month after). then i got the nut and the washer that i needed from honda, put all back on where its supposed to be and then tightened it down to factory specs. then it happened again(today). ill take the tensioner assembly out tomorrow to see if anything is wrong with it.
any other ideas?

LOCTITE is a liquid you put on a bolt that expands and makes the screw harder to pull out, but at the same time it prevents it from falling out. Putting that stuff on ur bolt might not help because something else might be wrong.
well i get my parts in tomorrow morning(overnight shipping). ill tripple check how i put it on(not hard at all but still) and then check it every day to see if its loose at all
.
what type of lube does the hearing on the pulleyuse? i might try that also

i think what the problem was that i would ttighten the bolt down on the pulley, then needing to loosen it to turn the 10mm bolt that tightens the belt...forgetting to tighten the pulley bolt so it was loose.
