Default 1989 Civic DX Manual Trouble starting

In the last week or so, when I try to start my Civic, it will turn over, but not start. I can try and try, but the car will not start. If I turn the ignition switch off then on, and leave it there, if I wait, I will hear a thump. Once I hear this "thump", the car will start right up. Please help. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

that is what it sounds like...
See:

Remove the coin tray and it is right behind..

Read the links..the easiest way to replace is to remove
the circuit board from the case and replace it with
the board from the new unit..
