Default whats the life of an aftermarket flywheel?

hi guys i'm buying a lightened flywheel, probably the exedy cause its chromoly and only 9lb and i can get it cheap. anyway how long do these last, are they like stock or do they need special attention. also has anyone heard good or bad things about this flywheel? thanks

A chromoly fly should last longer than stock.

Oh, and I hope you aren't talking about the group buy, because there are better prices out there.

yeah i was gonna get it from clutchcity. reason i'd asked is cause i heard something about lightened flywheels needed to be resurfaced every 10,000 miles, so thats not true?

only time you resurface is when the clutch is worn and new one is installed, otherwise you're wasting your time and money
