I am the happiest person alive today. I picked up my 97R on Saturday and have been smiling ever since. I have a set of Bridgstone Potenza S0-3 Pole Positions installed on sunday, and then and oil change and alighment on monday, and just alot of fun on tuesday. but now I back to work. I love my R. so fast, so agile, so fun. Just wanted to drop a line to let everyone know.

Thanks guys, I have never been so impressed by any other car. I have owned a 2001 S2000, a GSR and a few others. I have driven a Porsche 993 TT, lots of RX7's, 3000GT VR4 TT, a couple of NSX's and a few others and nothing has come close to impressing me more that the Type R. Just have to watch for the tail when you come off the throttle in the turns. a little scary at first, but very useful and fun. I love this car. Thank to Honda for not being scared to produce a car that is not for the masses, but for a few is perfect.

I just got mine 2 weeks ago, it's been in the shop of almost a week (blown clutch) and damn do I miss her. Have fun with your R for me!

 

Congrat's! I just got an 01 this weekend #375, and I feel the same as you...permanent smile all weekend. Already managed a 4 wheel drift, so much fun!! I too am taking it easy though, I did that in a very safe spot. I would never forgive myself if I wrecked it before I even got to know it.
