well a f22b1 is vtec, f22b2 isn't

As to 400 hp, you'll either have some incredible work done on the engine, probably a turbo being the cheapest as the f22's can take a beating.

I wouldn't exactly call this an idea. For the most part, 400whp is a pipe dream for the average Accord tuner.

I dont even understand why people go try to go through all the trouble of trying to make our accords muscle cars.lol first of all, accords are slow. they werent designed to be fast. They were designed to be economical, comfortable, stylish and most of all, reliable. Tuning these cars to be fast requires a lot of money, makes your car less reliable, lowers your car's book value, and its pointless if you ask me....If you ask me people should just drive their accords mostly stock and their wallets will thank them. lol

if you have a 94-97 Accord with a non-VTEC motor, then you have a F22B2. If you have a 90-93 Accord then you have a F22Ax motor.

Check the FAQ thread for some websites that carry pistons and other engine parts for the F22's.

lol thats funny you said your turbo hates you...is that because it has cost you more time, money, and effort than you like to admit? To each their own so I wont make this thread into a big deal, but thats also why I expressed my thoughts to begin with (to each their own)

Just out of curiosity how much have you spent on your set up under your hood and whats your best ET? If you havent hit 13's yet I dont see how it can be much more fun than being stock because 14s and 15s arent anything to rave about. lol

no I admit it fully. I never said it was easy (it hasn't been), but I sure have learned a lot along the way. as far as money spent i refuse to tally it, I don't want to know, nor does it matter. I don't have timeslips yet with my new setup but will be well below 14 seconds if the car ever fully complies, as I was running low 14's with garbage fuel management (afc hack) at 7 psi.

anyhow, back on topic, making a 400 whp F series motor will not be an easy task, nor will it be cheap by any means. but it's just money, right? LOL unless you're willing to toss $5k+ into the motor don't even bother thinking about it.
