Default Strut Bar Amp Rack

I did this on the weekend in my 97 Acura EL...I think it turned out rather well.

The box is temporary I am glassing an enclosure soon and am going to be deadening my doors and trunk this week to get my mids in. Then am going to be glassing the tweeters into the Apillars.

This is the "farmer" part of my install as one of my buddies called it

looks good my only thing i would worry about is...
your rca's stick out kind of far...do u put anything in the rear because it could slam into
the rca's and rewin them or crack the main board ... just be carfull
but it looks good

Nope not to worried about that...only thing that goes back there is golf clubs or luggage on weekend trips...I don't drive like a maniac at all so everything should be ok

I like when people take what some would see as a hinderance and make it into something that really changes the look of the vehicle. And that goes for more than Car Audio.

Wow I'm really impressed of the install, that thing looks ridiculously clean. Good Job.

Clean install, but I hope that you didn't directly bolt those amps to your rear strut bar. You don't want an amp touching a ground ever.

nice install....try to figure a way to hide the PWR and RCA wires to give it that stealth look. Perhaps inside the strut bar itself..who knows.

I don't like it personally, but I'm relieved to see that you actually made an effort and created brackets for it. Not sure how stable it is until I actually try pulling on it, but I was expecting to see zip ties or worse. Not my taste, but good work

I guess what it really boils down to is if the owner likes it and it's reliable and safe, then it's a good install.

It doesn't budge at all. To locking nuts on each end of teh strut bar are tightened and the amps don't budge at all. Reason for this is teh amps are pretty much up against my rear seat. When I finish the sub enclosure I will in essence have my full trunk available to me which is key. I lug golf clubs, luggage, hockey equipment around all the time. Functionality was more important to me.

Very true, But if your main ground is good you should not have any problems. Maybe a little hiss or so. You could use tiny plastic washers to isolate the amp from the metal mounts, hint. If you are having problems, But if it works f-it

But I got to say kudos for being diffrent and coming up with something new. Looks real good. Never seen this before.
