What is wrong with my car? not the ignitor 8(
ok sooo in my last post (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1662070) everyone told me it was my ignitor and i believed it cause it has happened to a friend's car but it isn't i just replaced it and nothing at all and same old check engine....
does anyone have any other idea what this could be besides a loose wire problem?

it tries to start but nothing at all and it has no spark even with changed ignitor..it all started when i took my fuel rail off and leaked fuel and when i started it again it ran but just died out after a minute and hasn't started since then...check fuses also
Use a friends working dizzy. To see if you can eliminate it as a culprit. Try a working dizzy. Starts up, it's your dizzy, doesn't start up, it's not it, and you can move on to the dizzy wiring.
Are you 100% sure it's no spark, and not no fuel? Main relays go pretty often in those.

well i fixed the leaking fuel problem after the car crapped out on me so i know its not relay cause wouldn't i have no fuel being pumped? but other then that i can't find a obd1 dohc zc dizzy 8( and its brand new from distributor king
i guess i can try my old one later 8(

it was the coil and ignitor in my car. test your coil. take off your distributor cap off and hold one of the spark plug wires that are plugged into the cap right by the hole in the coil (that that little metal thing on the inside of the distributor cap goes into. have someone crank the engine and see if you get spark. also make sure that you are getting power to the coil. get a test light and check to see that it lites up when you touch either of the two wires (where it screws into the coil) when the key is in the on position.

did you mess with the distributors rotor at all? the previous owner had it one 180 degrees off. when you crank it it somewhat fires sparatically. also check to make sure that your battery has a good charge or you wont get much spark.
no i haven't touched the rotor.... im gonna go ahead and say its probably wiring cause i had to do DPFI to MPFI wiring...i gotta go get a test light tho i want to make sure i know whats wrong before i go and do unnecessary work cause all this **** just breaking and breaking is pissing me off my car hasn't ran for a week straight always something going wrong even tho i replaced everything!
im going to double check everything right now...what fuses should i be looking at specifically i checked every single one...and for fuel im just gonna take off my fuel rail and see if my injectors shoot and if everything there is good im just gonna try and re wire cause my old distributor is like in pieces with a broke rotor and massively stripped screws cause they are so crappy and just don't want to come out
could getting gas all over the place effect anything? i painted my distributor cap the same day but i tried different caps as well..so right now its down to coil and/or wires... is there anything i should be checking? is there a specific fuse to be checking as well?
