Default I did a bad bad thing

SHORT STORY:
I grounded a hot wire while the motor was running. Now the car will not start.

LONG STORY:
My CEL came on for IACV. I cleaned it and put it back. Still thru a CEL. Tried a new IACV. Still thru a CEL. Decided to check the current. Started car went to check and ground one of the wires. Car died and would not start back up. CEL just stays lit. I tried to reset the ECU but the CEL is still staying on and the car will not start.

Did I ruin the ECU or is there something I am not thinking of?

Check all your fuses first. Then get back to us.

Already checked fuses. That's one of the first things I always do.

I grounded one of the IACV wires.

I would second this opinion. Do a current test to see if your icm is bad. http://autorepair.about.com/li...b.htm
I used that to check mine. Click on the testing honda ignitors link.

Nice link thanks. It helped me narow it down alot. I am now down to ICM, Main relay, or ECU. I don't think it is the ECU but I am going to check it with a friends ECU.

if you grounded a hot wire coming from the ecu you most likely fried something on the board, take the covers off it and look, it will be obvious if you did.....

I will look at it before I bother to *cough*steal*cough* my friends ECU. This might be the right time for a P28/hondata. I woln't be able to check it out untill I get home from work.

Is the CEL not flashing a code for you? If so, that means that you aren't getting power to your ECU. Check all of your fuses, check the main relay, and try a different dizzy (ignitor might have fried?).
