falken azenis weight.
1st comparison of the 205/50/15 azenis vs stock rims/tires.
2nd pic of comparison.
up close pic, not like many of u guys really care. btw which side does the line face, outside or inside??

Rguy is right.. I just checked the Falken web site, and they list the weight for the 205/50-15 as 22.5 lbs.
22.6lbs plus about 15 lbs for the stock bare rim = 37.6 lbs total
So the Azenis are indeed 5 lbs heavier than the stock 195/55 REO10.. not too surprising given the slight increase in track.
Yep.. and I have the same bathroom scale too.. it rounds off in half-pound increments.. so there!
See for yourself at http://www.falkentire.com/html/produ.../tirespecs.htm

I wrote to a technical guy at Bridgestone and he said the 195/55/15 RE010 is 20 lbs.
Was your stock tire+rim worn? I wonder if you could wear 2-3 lbs off the tire. My worn one weighed 17.5 on my bathroom scale.
Thanks for the pix -- that Azenis is *wide*! That's no 10 mm difference. (Or the RE010 is narrow.)

Weighing tip -- it's possible these bathroom scales are less accurate at low weights like 20 lbs, since they are for weighing adult people (or are they for kids too?). Mine wouldn't weigh the 12 lb clutch or an RE010 by itself on the scale. [too bad -- makes a nice picture]
So, it may be more accurate to weigh yourself a couple times, then weight yourself holding the tire or whatever, and compute the difference. Of course, if anyone has access to a proper calibrated scale, that would be better.

Well, the RE010 is a bit worn but it's obvious that the azenis weigh more.
well, its about right, since azenis is bigger tire(205/50/15 vs 195/55/15). thats the reason why its heavier.

My 205/50/15 Pirelli 210A snow tire only weighed 18.0 vs 17.5 for the RE010.
are these non directional tires? meaning I can swap them left to right?

That's just an excuse -- the 205/50/15 Kumho 712 is 19.7 lbs, the 195/55/15 is 19.3 lbs.

They are not directional. Just make sure they are mountedd w/ the inside..IN and the outside..OUT...but yes you can swap them left to right just need to have them remounted. If I didnt make sense its cause I have had a few
