Default ...Pic of NON ABS in the car...

WEll, the reason why I asked because on my Type R, the ABS light came on the cluster.. I went to dealership to ask the mechanic to find what cause the ABS light came on.. He say well the selenoid were out and they want $800 for new part and labor charge.. Forget it and Im not gonna spend $800 buck.. CAn anyone show me pic of non ABS on Type R or any other Integra.. I dont know if I wanna get rid of it because Im not sure if the car feel funny without the ABS.. Thanks

my civic w/o abs... but the bay is exactly the same as your type r.... i agree w/ knappster, if at all possible, maybe find a solenod used somewhere...try and fix it. the type r abs does more good than harm unlike most honda abs systems

It is not an issue if you know how to drive . The base model "race" model type R came same standard without ABS in Japan for a reason

similar, but not exact. I have no idea why you posted that pic sonce 99% of civics didnt come with ABS from the factory

but for the average driver, they cant outpreform abs... especially a type r abs... esecially in the rain snow. idk if the owner is experianced, or if this is his dd, but it took me a while to get to a point where i could use my brakes past the limits of the abs in my old intergra. i posted the picture because the creator wanted to see what his bay would look like w/out abs... and thats basically exactly what it would look like. the bays are 99% identical.

Uh yea thats why race prepped porsches and many other RACE cars HAVE abs, they just must no know how to drive, they only do it for a living.

Except civics have the hole on the passenger side of the engine bay and the intake opening behind the headlight. Type r integras have both of these closed which give it a distinct clean look compared to a civic
Yes they are different

when race cars are built they are required to keep many of the factory brake/wheel/motor specs because of class rules.

hole on the passenger side? thats why i said 99% identical. i think its close enough for him to see what his would look like w/out. its even got the integra airbox. i dont see why its such a problem, just trying to help out with some input

EDIT: plus both differences you mention arent even visible in that picture

if your light is on it means your ABS is diasabled so you know exactly what it feels like without it.

Aren't the 1994-1997 Integra Models with ABS rather primitive Generation 1 style ABS. I have my ABS right now and am considering removing it because I can't stomp on the brake as hard as I want when I'm coming into a turn. I don't like threshold braking. Brake pedal shaking doesn't appeal to me.
