i was planning on rewiring my vss (due to the fact that i'm pretty sure the wiring's messed up). i've got a 94 del sol with a b16a swap and was wondering if anyone has tackled this task before? i know that there are 3 wires (ground, power and a wiring that goes to the ecu, but do you wire it up just like that? any info on this would definitely be appreciated.

is there a relay for the vss? i hooked up 3 wires (power, ground and source) and still nothing. i know the problem's not my vss, not my gauge clauster, not my ecu and now not the wiring. what else could it be? if it was just a problem with my clauster, then it wouldn't throw a cel code, correct? need to fix this problem, it sucks having a b16a and not being able to have the advantage of vtec due to the fact of running in "limp" mode cause of a cel.

 

All I really know to tell you is; the power wire goes to a switched power source and the signal wire goes to the ecu AND a wire (VSS or speedo) on the cluster.
