jdm automatic folding mirrors??????

Default jdm automatic folding mirrors??????

recently at a car show i saw this kid with the authentic jdm mirrors that fold in when you turn the car off and open back up when you turn the car on has anybody ever see these before or do you know where to purchase them please let me know it would be for a 2001 itr py thanx

The JDM mirrors are actually supposed to be wired to a switch not automatically fold in and out when the car is on or off. I hear it's kinda a pain to install though.

Too bad those are wired wrong. It is suppose to be controlled by a switch and when you push the button it opens you push it again and it closes.

some cars have a touch sensor on the door panel...so you just touch the door and it folds in and out

that's what I thought too...

I like what the TLs have where you put it in reverse and the mirror goes down so you can see the curb. The folding mirrors is only for JDM freaks or for show.

I personally think it would be a pretty cool thing to have. My R is a daily driver and chit always seems to happen to the poor thing. If anyone has any information regarding this topic, please let me know also. Thanks.

They are actually wired correctly....... There is a switch that can fold them in at will and they should also fold in when the Ebrake is pulled up.

This is due to the tight parking spaces in Japan.
