Vtec Solenoid

My Vtec solenoid is damaged. It has a crease across the top of it. Will that affect it in any way? It was like that when it was delivered from Hmotors.

A little crease or is the cylinder is visibly damaged? Pictures would be helpful.

the cylinder is creased across the top, yeah it's visible!
