Default Engine torque damper

Ive searched for this and there was one thread from two years ago so i thought id ask again two years later... Does anyone know if engine torque dampers exist out there for EF's?? I don't even really want it for the stiffening of the mounts persay, i just hate how on my car when you let off the gas or get on the gas at higher rpms, the whole car just likes rocks back and forth from the engine shifting...Call me picky but i like a nice riding crx

You could get new OEM mounts.

that doesn't help, my friend has an EK civic and his does it too, he even got the poly inserts, helped a little but still does it, it just needs something with more leverage and dampening, mounts dont really dampen, they just stop the motor at a certain point and then it just bounces back

Get polyurethane mounts. Energy suspension makes D series mount for our cars for next to nothing. Simply take out the old bushing, press in the new, voila.

my friend bought those for his car but they weren't stock mount replacements, they just kinda squeezed in on both sides of the rubber and get like ziptied in, pretty ghetto

You could get a shorty strut and fab up your own torque damper..

Or maybe use some home store window urathane and fill your mounts.

Or you spend the little bit of money and get real bushing inserts.

If you can flex a set of high end bushing inserts then you have a serious setup.

I have a video of a 800whp civic, and the engine lifts the car more then it flexs in the engine bay. Get bushing inserts, you will thank yourself in the long run.
