Default coolant temp sensor QUESTION and idle q

its a mini-me, a6/z6, obd0 still, my dizzy doesnt line up on all the legs. i dont care cuz it still works lol. but the problem is that one of the legs is covering one of the coolant temp sensors, the one that sends info to my gauge (the smaller one). so what do i do? could i just take the wire that goes to it and tap it into the temp sensor below it (the one that sends info to my ecu)? do they give the same outputs? i just boosted this motor and i definatley dont want it to overheat on the tune! and im pretty sure that no dizzy will line up with it since there r no obd0 single cam vtecs, i could be wrong tho

another question... i cant get this motor to idle, no codes, would that temp sensor have anything to do with it? or could it be that i have an obd1 map sensor on it? i heard they were all interchangeable. plenty of fuel, spark, and compression. she fires up instantly but also dies instantly if i dont give her gas. messed with the idle screw and that didnt help. cam gear is on 0. firing order is right. its a pr3 ecu, it idled fine on the last motor it ran. iacv is hooked up.

someone help please, I WANNA DRIVE HER

well if u have a obdo map sensor layin around try putting that in... and the temp sensor might help out a little... other than that im not really sure.. maybe get some carb cleaner and start up the car have someone keep it runnin and spray it around ur throttle body and intake manifold to see if u have any leaks(ull hear the engine want to shut off if u have a leak)...
