Aftermarket shift knob + boot
I'm going to get the Skunk2 ****, but it'll look odd with stock shift boot with the clips, etc. I don't like it when the top of the boot sits much below **** and you can see the shifter. Is there anyway to not have this happen? Any boots that would work?
i tried that but couldn't get it to look right. if you rubber band the stock prelude shift boot then you will get wrinkles at the top of the boot. i opted for a civic/integra shift boot with the round plastic top (actually i have an ITR boot with the red stitching and a DC sports shift **** that was sanded down to be bare aluminum without any logos on it). it looks cleaner and fits great. theres another guy on here with a similar setup, i've seen pics of it and i think he has it as his avatar actually.
pics please

Is there a difference between the ctr and itr boots?

i read somehwere that one of the boots is longer than the other. i have a itr boot, and my interior looks exactly like the one pictured above (but with a brush aluminum looking shift ****, no skunk2 sticker, my vafc-2 is hidden from view, and i keep my shoes in the house).

get one of those rubber grommets for running wires through holes in yuor firewall.. find a size that will slip over the shift lever but be snug, and be big enough on the outside to prop up the boot. presto chango..
