well here is the thing, im getting my motor replaced by acura they are putting a brand new motor in..so my question is am i getting k20a2 motor or k20z1 motor??? and once i get my car back how can i check which one i have???

My guess is an a2. You can check on the left side of the block where the barcode thing is.

Yea i was really surprised they are doing it for me i should have the car back either tuesday or wendsday..

more than likely, they will replace it with the same engine that came in the car. a2. Simply speaking, that is what was busted, so that is what will go in. No sense in replacing with z, and then also changing the ecu etc...

so they just have the a2 lust laying around just in case something like that happens???

 

uhhhh.... yeah.

 

they may try to source one from local boneyards. I doubt that a brand new o2 assy is sitting around waiting to be put in. But maybe I am wrong.

 

from what they told me they are putting in a brand new motor but than aigain how will i really know that..
