hood chipping
i accidently closed my hood with something on the valve cover, and it kind of made an indentation and made the hood chip, not bymuch, but im worried about it becoming worse, what can i do?

Upload your pictures from your hard drive.
Right click the picture when its uploaded and go to properties.
Copy the link down, it should end in ".jpg"...if it ends in ".orig.jpg" then take off the ".orig"

Insert your link between image tags

I bet its more than that. They would probably just replace the whole hood, then prime it, block sand it (no low or high spots), paint it, the wetsand it, then buff it.
One of the other shop that i work at closed a hood on a ratchet on an Infinitti. Same problem as urs. Guy to it to dealer to get it fixed=700$.
Just expect a high price to get it fixed if you want it to last. If you go to some cheap *** place, i bet the clear will start to peel off in about a year.

NO WAY !!!!!!! u dont need to replace it. i work at an autobody shop. we would smack that in with a hammer and a punch then apply sum filler sand a prime....keeping the work area within 3 or 4 inches and blendin......its no more than 150$

Yea I work at a body shop too. That is a veerryy easy fix for a body shop.
