Default Newbie with a problem

Hey im new here. I own a 94 gsr that i purchased only about two months ago. Its my second integra. Well it has a cold air on it (not much done to the car) that i had been planning on taking off. Well, too late! I got caught in a bad rain storm 2 weeks ago and sucked up a bit too much water so now i have a nice knock. So my question is what would be my best bet to fix it if i keep it.

I could order new internals and replace them, although i have only ever replaced pistons and rods once. I know how but scared i will ruin it.

I could get an ls block and do ls/vtec. Not sure what all must be done though.

Keep in mind i bought this car for gas reason (own f150 as well), not too upgrade. And i only paid $2000 for the car so i do not want to put much into it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

well, you sure it was caused by water?? after you drove around, did you take off the intake and check the TB for water?? might caused by vavle adjustment. yeah, check your plugs first. souldnt be that bad..

If you sucked water and now have a knock, odds are you bent a rod. You can pull the oil pan and head and remove the piston rod combo and take it to a machine shop to transfer over a new rod then reinstall. Happened to me and thats what I did.

When I pulled the oil pan, windage tray and pickup, I just looked up and the bent rod was obvious. Took 3 days, cause the machine shop held me up. This was also the first internal work that I have ever done. It has been around 40K miles since the repair and all is well.

So you didnt replace the other pistons or rods? How about the bearing? I hope thats all it is then because i can do that. I am sure its only one as well. did you order a new rod or did the shop supply it for you?
