Possible New Project: AWD Civic Wagon: Want your thoughts, goods, bads, etc....
Well I found an 88-91 (sorry don't know the exact year) 5spd RT4WD Civic thats in pretty decent shape.
The guy said all it needs is tires and a clutch and it will run and drive fine.
Basicaly what I want to know is how do the trannies and AWD system hold up? I am thinking I might turbo it so I'm wandering if it would handle the power. I mean I'm only planning on pushing around 6-8lbs of boost on a sohc. I read here on the forum that the AWD system was good for up to like 220hp so I should be more than ok.
Also I was wandering if for some reason the tranny screwed up could I just swap in a standard si tranny or something and just eliminate the AWD system?
Should there be any things I should look for or key problems to look for with these and the trannies and such?
Thanks for all your help.............AND YES I DID SEARCH AND DIDN'T FIND MUCH.
